Specification of FKM / Viton
FKM / Viton commercial grade Fluoroelastomer Sheet
The selection of the most suitable Viton rubber sheet to be used for any specific end-use implementation shall be determined by the end-use provider and, in specific, whether the detail of it must provide: acid resistance or base resistance to hydrocarbon liquids, flexibility at high temperature (holding seal at low temperature).
Viton FKM sheets can handle high temperatures in aggressive fluids, ensuring reliability and can continuously serve at 250 ° C even after at peaks up to 315 ° C.
FKM rubber far outlasts nitrile rubber and other general-purpose elastomers are the heat-resistant characteristics. Its reliability can allow prolonged service periods and assist extend budgets for servicing by decreasing unplanned downtime across many sectors.
FKM / Viton is a 75 Shore A smooth finish specification grade Type A Viton compound. It has excellent resistance to aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils, fuels, ozone and weather, chlorinated solvents, lubricants and animal or vegetable oils.
FKM Viton® Fluoroelastomer Sheet is an economical sheet, formulated with 100% virgin Fluoroelastomer base and does not contain regrind or reprocessed elastomers. It will withstand exposure to temperatures of 250 degrees Celsius and has the excellent chemical resistance that is typical of fluoroelastomer compounds.
The offered FKM sheet can have light fabric impression finish as well.
